Ostheimer's Sheep Eating is bending down for some lush green grass, or perhaps to nuzzle one of her sweet lambs. She has been carefully handcrafted to suggest the soft curves of a white wooly coat.
This handcrafted timber toy is a lovely addition to a farmyard scene. The Ostheimer Sheep Eating is 6cm tall.
All Ostheimer Animal Toys are traced by hand in Germany onto natural, native hardwood (maple, elm, or ash), before being cut and sanded and then finished off by hand with up to six coats of non-toxic, water-soluble, transparent colour that is designed to show the beautiful woodgrain beneath. The soft edges of each toy are a hallmark of Ostheimer and what makes them just so lovely to play with. All Ostheimer toys meet the European and international safety standards and the European NORM EN 71 for toys.
As each Ostheimer toy is created and finished by hand, they vary slightly in terms of shape, colouring, and the amount of woodgrain or knots showing through the colouring. Each piece is perfectly unique. Please note that are not varnished.
