Our beautiful Cassowary is not to be messed with; she has a bone-hard casque - or helmet - on top of her head and will use it to defend her chicks and territory.

Cassowaries are large, flightless birds and are considered to be more similar to ancient dinosaurs than most other birds found in the world today.

Being handcrafted, each of NOM Handcrafted's beautiful offerings is unique, with slightly different shaping, size, wood markings, grain, and knots showing through any dye or paint finishes, which themselves might vary slightly in colour or application.
