Gluckskafer's Rainbow Building Slats are very well-loved, and for good reason. The array of rainbow colours, both brights and pastels, combines with the varied slat lengths to form a beautiful and versatile building toy. You will receive 64 slats in a wooden tray.

Use the slats by themselves to construct towers and other structures, or combine them with larger blocks and arches for castles, towers, and so on. Your child might also enjoy lining them up to form colourful roads and train tracks. A wooden tray is included for neat storage of your Gluckskafer Building Slats.

Each piece has been carefully hand-painted using non-toxic water-based dyes.Being hand-finished, each of Gluckskafer's beautiful wooden toys is unique, with slightly different shaping, paint finishes, wood grain, texture, and occasional wood knots showing. Please note they are not varnished. The timber on this toy has been deliberately finished to a slightly rough, grippy texture to allow for easier stacking. Gluckskafer uses FSC-certified European timbers, mainly beech and maple wood.

They thought about their design!

Well done Gluckskafer for making an open-ended, versatile item that makes sense for little ones to play with. I appreciated the non-toxic dyes, slightly rough surface for better grip, beautiful colour choice, and a box to pack the slats away after use. Combining it with other wooden toys has been an aesthetic haven at home. Glad that Milk Tooth decided to stock Gluckskafer — I’m hoping to add more to our collection!

High quality, endless possibilities

These are lovely colours and grippy but smooth. Very similar to Grimms. Great for building or being roads, legs, boats, etc. Tray also sturdy and useful for lots of different things.

Open ended slats

I got these for my four year old who loves to build with dominoes. They can be used to build structures in and of themselves. They can be used to construct buildings in conjunction with other blocks (especially 4cm blocks). They can be used to make “flat lay” art. Love that they are presented in a wooden tray and that they are painted with dyes. Looks like Grimms or Grapat in that regard. My daughter loves packing them away too - it’s a puzzle getting them back in some order on the tray!
