The Ostheimer Bald Eagle Sitting is gazing downwards, perhaps at some prey, or is he feeding his chick? He has a bright yellow beak and feet and beige and brown feathers.

All Ostheimer wooden animal toys are traced by hand in Germany onto natural, native hardwood (maple and elm), before being cut and sanded and then finished off by hand with up to six coats of non-toxic, water-soluble, transparent colour that is designed to show the beautiful woodgrain beneath.
