Poised to take flight! Ostheimer's beautiful Pigeon Flying has its wings back and head raised, just waiting to take off. With a whitewashed timber body, orange feet and beak, and blue eyes, the pigeon has been carefully hand-finished to the highest quality.

The Pigeon stands at 3.5cm tall and is just waiting to be added to your forest or farm small world play scene.

All Ostheimer Wooden Animal Toys are traced by hand in Germany onto natural, native hardwood (maple, elm, or ash), before being cut and sanded and then finished off by hand with up to six coats of non-toxic, water-soluble, transparent colour that is designed to show the beautiful woodgrain beneath. The soft edges of each toy are a hallmark of Ostheimer and what makes them just so lovely to play with. All Ostheimer toys meet the European and international safety standards and the European NORM EN 71 for toys.

As each Ostheimer figurine is created and finished by hand, they vary slightly in terms of shape, colouring, and the amount of woodgrain or knots showing through the colouring. Each animal is perfectly unique.
