The shapes and colours of the beautiful Grimm's Spiel Und Holz Basic Building Set are inspired by Friedrich W. A. Fröbel’s concepts of child development and education. In vibrant greens, blue, purple, red, orange, and yellow, the blocks come as straights, triangles, angles, and curves, making it a classic first building set for a wide range of uses.

This 30 piece wooden block set is ideal for young children with its fewer and larger blocks in simple shapes. Children can build walls, fences, stalls, houses, towers, and castles. While doing so, they explore their imaginations and develop their spatial thinking and fine motor skills.

Being hand-finished, each of Grimm's beautiful offerings is unique, with slightly different shaping, wood markings, grain, and knots showing through the dyes, and paint finishes. Please note they are not varnished nor lacquered, leaving the timber with a beautiful textural feel. Because of this, some minor paint transfer may occur during play. This is considered normal.
