    The Bauspiel X-Shapes wooden building blocks are wonderful on their own or paired with an existing set of building blocks. Their interesting shape adds dimension and interest to castles and houses, and lets children create tall stacks without the full weight of solid blocks of wood.

    Watch the X-Shapes really come to life when matched with another Bauspiel building set, in particular the Lucite Cubes. One sparkling cube fits perfectly into the centre of each cross.

    This listing is for a loose set of Bauspiel X-Shapes. You will receive 16 blocks. The set does not come with a base tray. Other Bauspiel pieces shown in the photographs are available for separate purchase. Two of our photographs have been kindly provided by @kissenwonderlad on Instagram.

    Being hand-finished, each of Bauspiel's beautiful offerings is unique, with slightly different shaping, wood markings, grain, and knots showing through any dye or paint finishes. Occasionally they may arrive with very minor dents from packing and transport; this is considered normal. Please note they are not varnished nor lacquered, leaving the timber with a beautiful textural feel.

    Perfect Amounts

    I think it is wonderful the Milktooth offers Bauspiel in smaller amounts. Working in childcare we have the large sets there which the price to own at home can seem almost scary. The pack of 12 is perfect for at home use

    Bauspiel X Blocks - XOX!

    Love these x blocks! Once again the Bauspiel quality does not disappoint. They are a good size, chunky, have a ‘grippiness’ to the wood that helps for stacking and building. They feel durable and I know they’ll last. I purchased a partial set which was easy on the pocketbook- I love that Milktooth offers this option. I added a set of lucite blocks and feel that together they are an amazing addition to the toy shelf.

    An excellent start

    I love that Milktooth offer these smaller sets to try out before committing to a full set. Bauspiel is worth the cost due to its quality, the blocks are grippy, solid, and sturdy. This small set was perfect for us to test the waters and see how our girls took to the blocks. Now that we see how versatile and loved they are, we can invest in more! A beautiful quality product and amazing service from Milktooth as always.

    Great building addition

    Beautifully made and fantastic quality.
    My 2 year olds love them and can easily stack them independently.
    Can be used on their own for building or with other blocks for bigger results, making castles or garages for cars.
    Will probably buy more down the track they are amazing!
