Play silks are a beautifully open-ended toy. They have endless uses when it comes to a child's imagination. The rich Wombat Play Sylk could become raw earth for a nature display, a saddle for a toy horse, a cape for a brave knight. Wombat is the most beautiful rich chocolate brown, broken up with sun kissed lighter patches from drying naturally outside.
EarthSylk is Australia's first ever range of all-natural, cruelty-free play silks. They're made from soy sylk, which has been spun from the residue and waste products of the tofu and soy milk industries. Soy sylk is naturally soft and has a very similar feel and fall to traditional silk from silk worms.
At approximately 85cm by 85cm, our full-sized EarthSylk Play Sylks have a myriad of uses: they're a blanket for a doll, a skirt for a ballerina, a bandage for a pretend sore arm, the hide for a game of peekaboo, practice for tying knots or hanging out laundry, the wings of a butterfly, and so much more.
EarthSylk Play Sylks are handmade in Perth, Australia, in small batches and dyed using only non-toxic plant-based dyes. Due to their handmade nature, variances in size, shape, dying, and colour do occur. Each Play Sylk is as unique as its owner.
Please do not leave babies or children unattended with Play Sylks and do not place the Sylks in or around sleeping areas.
